Car journeys
How are we keeping our toddlers entertained for long car journeys?
We have a 4hour+ journey coming up in April where my daughter will be 21 months. I cant rely on screen time to keep her occupied because it’s just not for her, she’s not interested.
So I intend on sitting in the back with her, but any ideas or things to bring to make the journey a little less daunting for me would be great 😅 so far all ive got is

Time it for a nap time to take up a large amount of the journey time.
Busy board. Mini etch a sketch thing. Books. Does she nap still? Can you time it with a nap?
Thanks all, we were planning on stopping halfway i probably should’ve put that 😂 she tends to have 1, 1hr nap a day so that will help somewhat x

I’d personally take a break. My 3.5y has only ever done a journey of 3+h once or twice when we travelled at night. Every day time journey of a similar length or longer then we’ve taken a pitstop. It really helps to get him out to run around and burn off some energy before getting back into the car. Also means I can be pretty sure he’ll have a decent nap too which makes it less of a stressful task to entertain him!
