I haven’t had to drive for 24hrs but we drove 12 hours to DC this week. My son is 8 months almost 9 months old. We figured we make the drive when it was his bedtime which is around 7:30-8 pm. He didn’t wake up till we were about an hour out. Which we then stopped changed him and fed him. He didn’t make much of a fuss but we also downloaded an episode of miss Rachel to have play on our CarPlay in case he couldn’t be consoled with toys. We also had our 2 dogs with us so I couldn’t sit in the back with him.
I've done 20hr drive with just me and hubby in our 30's. We swapped every 5hrs and took naps. It was really rough on the way home with back pain. Even if I could go solo, I wouldn't. What if I got a flat tire, in the middle of the night, on the side of the highway? I know how to change it but don't know if I actually can with a child around.
Never that long. Like 7 hours. But we made stops every 2-3 hrs to get baby out the seat and got him a tablet with his favorite movies downloaded for the ride.
I’d do it better to be safe than sorry with all the plane crashes recently. Just make sure to stop more frequently to give them time to be out of the car seat, lots of snacks and toys. My husband and I did a 12 hour trip with 4 toddlers, it’s not easy but doable
