I’ve had two, before 10 weeks it has to be transnational. I had my first at 6 + 4 and we saw our little bean and a heartbeat :) How far along are you?
I had one last week to check cervix length and the scan itself was clearer than abdominal scan. It was amazing!!! Saw the genitals up close and everything😅😅
@Emma I'm 17 weeks x
@Robyn omg!!! Completely forgot about seeing the gender! Im not ready 😭😂
Ah I see! If they use the same one then I imagine you’ll be able to see baby?
Ive got the same thing for the 12th! Been worried as wasnt sure what it involved
I went into preterm labour in my first pregnancy at 16w so i have weekly cervical length checks you can see baby at the corner of the screen but they likely wont show you baby, you can always ask and see what they say I did ask if they could show us baby at our last check and they gave us a quick glimpse but that was all
I wasn't either and my husband doesn't know yet that I know the gender so I just have to pretend that I don't at our anomaly scan. But it was so surreal and amazing and honestly clear as anything! Also heard the heartbeat. Good luck for your appt♥️♥️♥️
Just got back from mine. I saw the baby, they couldn’t get the heartbeat very clear on the internal scan so they did an abdominal one too. I have to go back in 5 weeks for another check. I didn’t see the gender. Mainly saw baby’s head, even saw their hand go and scratch their head.
I just got back from mine, its exactly like you said @Danielle. My bat baby was upside down so despite her best efforts we couldnt get a glimpse of gender haha. For those who are yet to have it, its a urine sample, swab, abdominal scan (on an empty bladder) and a vaginal probe. Bit uncomfortable but not too bad :)
Mines today, I had one last pregnancy due to having part of my cervix removed. So it’s in 3 parts, height / weight / blood pressure / urine check. Then a swab for infection. then a transvaginal ultrasound. There is a screen and you can see baby. They mainly look at the cervix and she then moved the wand to show me baby in my last one.
