How to get toddler to hold his own bottle

As embarrassing as it is. I still feed him the bottle and he just doesn't want to hold it himself?? Any ideas to encourage him?

It’s not embarrassing, mine still won’t. But my first was doing it long before now. It could just a comfort thing of being held to drink. Don’t give yourself a hard time baby will do it when ready x

My daughter is the same. She will hold for a second or two and if it comes out her mouth she won't drink the rest of her milk. It won't be forever as well. Nothing to be embarrassed about at all. ❤️

My baby starts holding it and then gives up so I just hold it, which is basically every single time she has milk! Not embarrassing at all.

Not embarrassing lol, mine has no interest either

Just gets upsetting when people make comments. Oh he should be holding thr milk bottle himself. He shoukd drink from a sippy cup himself bow

They should really mind their own business. It is hard when comments are made about your child. ❤️ be kind to yourself. You are doing an excellent job

Mine isn't either!

Mine isn’t either and tbh I aren’t bothered as I like giving her the bottle as it makes me still feel like she’s a little baby 😂🥹

Mine only started when my newborn came and I was clearly taking too long giving hers so she grabbed it off the table herself 😅 majority of the time I still have to hold it but I think I’ll miss when she doesn’t want me to anymore 🫣

Mine will drink water from a sippy cup herself, but she won’t hold a bottle of milk and do it herself. She tries but can’t get the tipping of the bottle right haha so I still do it. They’ll all get there! Ignore any comments x

My LG doesn’t hold her milk bottle but will hold her cup of water. I think it’s a comfort and I’m enjoying it whilst it lasts x
