Bottle fed babies

How do you make up your feeds? I use a perfect prep but curious about what other people do. If you use a rapid cool can you explain which method you use?

our daughter is just drinking 4.5 oz bottles right now (2 formula scoops), so we use the parent’s choice 5oz milk storage bottles to prep. we always prep the night before (after she goes to bed), so we add 4oz of water to 6 of the bottles, mix in the formula, and then store it in the fridge for the next day. then we warm them in a bottle warmer (in the milk storage bottles) and then put the warm formula in a regular bottle so the bottles not too hot (rather than putting the bottle itself in the warmer). sometimes she wants more bottles so if we’re running low a little sooner than normal we prep a couple more. theyre good for 24 hours in the fridge, and it helps cause you can shake as hard as you need since the bubbles have time to settle in the fridge

I prep the water in the bottles (4oz). When baby wakes up and is hungry, I just scoop the formula in (2 scoops), shake and feed.

Baby brezza water warmer , I use distilled water. It’s always ready for bottles

I think you’ll need to specify where you’re from (I’m guessing UK from the options) as you’ll probably get a lot of conflicting answers from people in other countries

Yes I’m from the UK

Rapid cool We put hot water in let it cool add formula to water in bottle. As sterilising it was awkward but now you can get the lid that sterilises it x

Kettle in the day and prep machine at night

I pre make a few bottles an then leave them in fridge an have a tommee tipee bottle warmer when she's ready as long as you use within24 hrs which it doesnt even come close... I dnt own a prep machine an heard there not great if you dnt maintain them. So kettle an pre prep all the way 🙂

@Jaylean I've always done this to works well an saves on pennies specially with how much energy bills are 🙂

@Katrina agreed should only be tap water here in UK an cooled down water from kettle to kill bacteria in formula

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2152750 I have this kettle, which makes making up bottles a breeze! It does help that our son is over 6 months and can drink cold water from the tap though (Scotland) 3oz boiled and cooled down (to 75-80°c) water mixed with formula, topped with cold water. Annoyed the new price is £30 less than when I bought it!

When I do use formula I use water from the filter and pop in the microwave for a few seconds

@Jaylean im aware but it works for me and hasn’t failed yet . Thank you though ✨
