First time boy mom need advice

So my son is 3 just got potty trained so he's more aware of himself. He gets a little hard on sometimes and doesn't like it. What can I do to tell him to make it better? Anyone else experience this before? He's my first and only boy. Thank you in advance.

If he doesn't like it, then he'll figure out pretty soon to stop playing with himself

We had the same problem with our three year old! The hard ons have become much less and he doesn’t really notice it anymore! X

It’s involuntary to them; I took my son to the dr for an explanation after trying to get him to understand he just has to think of something else/let it be. My son had it happen in the morning and at bedtime along with the occasional during the day one/two. He was in literal tears cuz he was so frustrated with not having control of it. Obviously, as they get older they gain more control of it happening and their body relaxes/regulates.
