Potty training- have yall started?

Hey ladies! So story first- my son has been telling me when he pees and poops because he wants to be changed so I went ahead and got him pull ups, one day I change him and run off and come back and hes peeing on the floor, I tell him no- toilet/potty. Few days later while lotioning after a bath he says pee pee and then gets up to head out the room. I held back to see if he was really about to just go and pee (😳😱) or something but he went to the mini trashcan by the door and peed there.. I went ahead and bought him a potty lol. He has literally been using it since!! Its been a full 5 days, he hasnt pooped in it yet and I think thats bc he does have constipation issues (had it since he was born) but like I'm surprised. Every single time he has to pee he tells me and goes to his potty. And he does try to poop on it he just gives up and gets into his usual poop position lol. The mini problems are that he wants to get butt a** naked every single time 😂😂 and he drinks alot of water lol so it's constant complete stripping and redressing cause he likes to be dressed and wants them back on after peeing. He also won't let me empty the pot without a fit because he likes to admire it 😂 he literally went and got his toddler cousins 2-5 and showed them his pee 😂😂 have any of you started to potty train yet?

I started a few weeks ago and then she got sick and had diarrhea and it was just too much. Hoping to try again in a few weeks!

At what age are you all starting to train them?

I haven't yet. I now have a one month old so I'm trying to get myself a little more into a routine before I attempt it. My son will go in the bathroom with me and pretend he's wiping himself but he doesn't ever tell me when he needs to be changed so idk if he's even ready yet

Followed the Oh Crap method, but if you don't want to read the book, it's just simply getting rid of all diapers, no panties for a couple of weeks. You do need to stay either home or close to home for 3-5 days. Anyway, the book is amazing and I would definitely recommend it just to get more comfortable. We did before he turned 2 and it literally took 2-3 days and he's been without diapers since then. I wish I did it even earlier, but we traveled abroad, so it would have been too stressful. I also hate the fact that we use so many diapers and it's become the norm. I also think I was more scared of the training process and completely underestimated how smart kids are at this age.

Thank you Tanya

Just starting today! So far so good🙃🤞🏼
