Inclusive birthday party ideas

My son is having a birthday party end of this month and hes asked if a little boy who uses a wheelchair can come, it was going to be a bouncy castle/dancing party but does anyone have any ideas on activities the little boy can do so he wont feel left out?

Also to add, the children coming are mostly between 2-6 years old

Face painting, musical statues, pass the parcel 🎨🕺🎁

Maybe call the parents and have an open conversation. Tell them you were thinking about a bouncy castle and maybe they already have a way for him to be included safely. Otherwise they can maybe help find a workaround

@Sarah I will try ask her tomorrow on the school run x

@Catriona these seem like good ideas, i already have face paints 🎨

Bubbles. Face painting. Or a painting station A “fishing” for ducks game. Treasure hunt for everyone. Modified sports (bowling). Or a race game Story teller/ puppet show. Small petting zoo (bunnies and ducks) Pin the tail on the donkey. Karaoke . Make your own pizza or dessert station

Adapted dance party Magic show Egg & spoon race You can also check to see if the bounce house company has any adaptable bounce houses or obstacle courses. Art & craft activities
