@Tink would have never of thought of this, thanks so much will have to give it a try X
You're definitely not on your own. My little girl can handle it for more than 10 minutes (sometimes), but she doesn't like it, and even less so when she was younger (now 4 and a half months). I have a little hanging rainbow that I move between the pram and car seat, and I feel it has a calming effect and over time has helped create familiarity and a more positive association. For instance, lately, she will cry when I'm putting her into her car seat or the pram, but once she's in and she properly notices her little rainbow, she often calms down. I think her developmental stage also helps this though. So maybe choosing one special hanging toy he really likes. But I have heard of babies now being ok with car seats until they can face forward 😢 so it might be a matter of time. I hope it gets easier! I know how stressful it is.
We also recently got one of those hip seat carriers which are so much easier to pop her on than other carriers. So when using the pram, I'll often give her a little break, pop her on the carrier seat for a little bit, then put her back in the pram which she is often ok with after a little break.
I just got the baby Einstein aquarium so we’ll see how that goes !! X
My oldest son who's now 4 hated the pram or car seat. We got a little push trike as soon as he was old enough and that worked (mostly) He didn't go in the car seat till around 3.5 years without screaming. My 4 month old however is totally different and fine with both, however he will not fall asleep in the pram only in a carrier.
Youre not the only one! 4 months old and screams every car ride. So over stimulating when im trying to concentrate on driving. No tips just here to say im in the same boat!
Yes! My little one also. I’ve had occasional success with giving her favourite toy and immediately using white noise. But also looking for tips and tricks. We’re trying to do more short pram/car trips to get her use to it.
This came up on my feed and I have a 6m old but when she was littler she wasn’t a fan of the pram. I stuck one of my pj tops in pram with her after wearing it to bed a good few nights and she was ok then as it smelt of me. Might be worth a try :)
