Induction due to IVF

Hello, I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby after a frozen embryo transfer. I am consultant led due to having IVF and been told they would like to induce me at 38/39 weeks, as they don’t like IVF babies going overdue. Has anyone experienced similar and have anything they can share please? Thank you! X

I had an ivf baby and I went ten days over they originally said to me about being induced at 40 but when I spoke about it they were like well it’s a normal pregnancy now so you won’t need it (I did need to be induced at ten days over as little one was to snuggly and didn’t want to come out) xx

Also IVF pregnancy with frozen transfer. My pregnancy has been always treated as normal low risk pregnancy, the hospital I am under said they treat it like normal pregnancy. I am now overdue, and they scheduled indiction for 41+1 week

This is absolute rubbish - both my ivf babies (separate pregnancies )were treated as “normal” pregnancies and I’m even 38 so older mum. Push back and speak to a consultant or midwife that would listen to you. 38 weeks is early!! My ivf babies were born naturally 3 weeks later than this
