Cold it be hand foot and mouth? My little boy had these when he had it x

@Danielle ohhh no..great! He's got no spots of anything or do they appear after? X

looks like it’s hand foot & mouth. bonjela will help with it & pharmacy can give a cream / anti allergy medication for any rashes/spots on hand and feet. ice lollies/cold yoghurts to help and avoid anything citrusy or spicy :)

@I W yh will check tomorrow if it's worse. Stupid question but does he need to stay off nursery? He's never had this so no idea x

When my LO had hand foot and mouth she didn't have to stay off nursery but they wanted to be made aware. They said if she had a fever or wasn't well in herself then we should keep her off but she was fine, just covered in spots so they were happy to have her. X

@Emma thank you. I will check tomorrow how he is and then also call them to check if its okay this end. X

yeah for 7-10 days, whenever the sores go or crust over is recommended. been in the same boat, it won’t be too bad. might get a fever/cold symptoms at some point also or not - hope all goes well

@Emma i’m surprised they didn’t mind because it’s really contagious. they told us to stay well away 😂😂

Our nursery said it was fine, it’s actually more contagious before the spots etc come out apparently. Mine was still able to go but was really unwell in himself, wasn’t sleeping eating etc so I just kept him off. X

@I W oh yeah I was surprised too. Literally ahe had been unwell on the weekend, we turned up on the Monday as she had been okay for 24 hours and I didn't know it was HFM at that point. They then phoned me 2 hours later to say it was HFM as she was covered in spots which she hadn't been when I took her. They said they keep them but to just keep an eye. When I looked at their sickness policy it.also said they just want to be made aware despite how contagious it is!
