Plastibell Circumcision
Assalamualaikum sisters!
I have planned to have my son, who’s 5 months old, circumcised at Beverley Clinic in Edgware next week. I’m very anxious as this is my first baby and wanted to find out your experiences with the Plastibell method? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🫶🏼

Can I ask how your baby is healing and how he is in himself? Only because I had my 6 month old done too

Walaikumsalaam sis, my son had the plastibell circumcision aswell however the experiences may be different for us as we had my son done at 3 weeks old. I honestly just let it heal I had seen loads of videos on TikTok of people using Vaseline etc however I had been advised by the clinic to just use water to clean it everyday. I’d also recommend using cotton wool for nappy changes until it’s healed and come off. Also I bathed baby in plain water and no products until it had healed. Overall we had a good experience with the plastibell method. Healing wise I’d say it took about 2 weeks to heal. When they’re Newborns they just sleep most of the day so it wasn’t too much to deal with after e.g baby wasn’t crying in pain etc Hope this helps and inshallah it all goes well for your little boy xx
