You're not the only one. I'm in no hurry to rush or force my boy to start using the potty as I dont want him to be upset or start to resist it. I'll wait for him to let me know when he's ready. My son is happy to sit on the potty and will usually have a wee before his bath, the rest of the time he just goes in his nappy. I speak to him about it and I've told him if he wants to use the potty to let me know, also tried to encourage its use with the promise of a treat if he does use it! He knows when he needs to go as he will often announce that he needs a poo before he does it, and I'll always ask him of he'd like to use the potty but he says no. They'll all get there in their own time xx
My daughter was like that. After a few successful days of potty training she suddenly refused to sit on it. I first tried rewards, books or bubbles but they didn't work so as a last result I let her play games on my phone. She started to ask to sit on the potty just to get hold on my phone but I accepted that and once she was comfortable with going on the potty I started to reduce the games time and now she is successfully potty trained and doesn't use my phone at all.
My boy is the same now. He was fully potty trained through the day, but then got poorly and now wont even hear of sitting on it! Hoping we can get there again soon.
We had this with my little girl a few months ago when we tried. She’s was great for a week then told us she doesn’t like the potty. We stopped as we didn’t want to force it She’s now starting to ask for the potty and telling us she needs a toilet. We’re going to start again pretty soon, hopefully this will be the last time as this will be the third time we’ve tried. I think it’s normal but I’m not too sure 😂Xx
