Amazon wishlist

Has anyone managed to get the free welcome gift on the Amazon baby wishlist? I’ve created one a month or two ago and add items to my basket from my wishlist that are shipped and sold from Amazon but I don’t see how you add the free gift? Has anyone managed it? Help😂

I’ve been trying for 2 years since I had my first baby 😂

@Sylvia if you figure it out let me know 🤣

@Katie 😂😂😂

Hold on let me go see how I did it. Cause I received it let me check

You can only claim it with one child, so if you’ve had it previously you can’t claim it again. Though I didn’t realise this and messaged customer service and they gave me a gift anyway for being a loyal customer.

@Laura I wasn’t even able to claim it the first time

@Laura I see, I created a account but never purchased or claimed when I had my first. X

@Sylvia are you in the US ??

@Katie No I’m in the UK

@Redss I’m in the uk, it says on my account I can claim a free welcome gift when I purchase products shipped and sold by Amazon worth £20 x

@Katie yeah i think thats just the overall statement by them but in the screenshot it says US only . I would contact customer service and ask for clarification because they are kinda contradicting themselves by saying you can get it but in the fine print saying you cant. Definitely call customer service for sure

@Emma yes, I add items worth £20 to my basket from wishlist. Go to the welcome gift and choose the one I want add it to my basket but it doesn’t make it free. Just adds it to my basket? 😅

@Emma it doesn’t remove it it stays in my basket full price, my items add to £20 before I add the welcome gift. 🤨😊

So it’s not actually “free” - you add the £20 of qualifying items (make sure they definitely qualify), then you add your “free” item of choice. It will not show up as free in your basket. When you go to check out and you get to the payment options page (where you pick your shipping options and stuff), a “discount” is applied to your order for the exact cost of that “free” item. When I was pregnant, I got a free item, my partner got a free item, and my in-laws even made a baby registry and got a free item 😂😂

I was charged for my item that was meant to be “free” so I just contacted them and got it refunded x

Took me ages to work it out. The free gift from the list can't be discounted at the time of purchase. It has to be full price. But a lot of the time there is only one item at full price.

I had to contact Amazon via live chat as it wouldn’t discount the free gift item from my basket. They said they couldn’t do this manually but to place the order and contact them again when it arrived for a refund which they did very quickly for us 😊 bit of a faff but worth it
