No not to early just make sure they don’t braid tight !! And oil the scalp to

I think it’s really about what’s comfortable for your baby, has she ever had braids before? My daughter is black and Asian however her hair is much too fine for braids. Your daughter’s hair looks like the texture might be okay with braids but it just really depends on if her hair is prone to breakage and can handle the tension of braids and weight of beads. I suggest asking a professional

My baby isn’t mixed but your baby texture is similar to mine. I started using beads around 16 months, she will be 2 in May. However I keep in mind that beads can be heavy, so I personally don’t put more than 4 beads per braid. If it’s a heart/bow shape I only use 3. I stay away from big beads b/c of the weight. Also, keep in mind that constant use of rubberbands to secure the bead can potentially lead to damage. So I only use them maybe once a month max or sometimes I only use barrettes. I also made sure that I kept them out of her face until I was certain she was past the curious stage of them to prevent pulling and potential Swallowing. For the most part, I let the ends free curl and keep it moisturized.

No it’s not too early! Long as it’s not too many braids having her sit too long or tight braids. I will do a few braids in the front or twists then leave the back out curly. Also if you’re adding hair get chemical free hair

Not to early! I’ve done braids allot with my son since he has turned one.

I also moisturize his hair daily while it’s in the braids and out of braids I don’t do them to tight and use all chemical free products! It takes a while for me to braid my sons hair as he is a mover and like to run around so I do run braid let him do his thing then do another braid then let him do his thing and so on

not too early. just not so tight or with rubber bands.

My kids aren’t mixed but my 1st born had very fine curly hair for the first free years of her life. I think braids are perfectly fine, but possibly too young for beads. My only thought is if a rubber band breaks and the beads slip off, it could be a choking hazard. I started braiding my oldest’s hair when she was about 15 months old, but I held off on the beads until she was 3 years old when she stopped putting things in her mouth.
