Also following as ours is next week too!
I've asked my HV yesterday and her advice was to give it to her just before, but it seems like health professionals have different opinions on this.
I read somewhere to give straight after as medicine before could potentially masked any reactions to the vaccine. My little girl had hers yesterday and I gave her it as soon as we got home xx
We took it with us and administered immediately after, was told to give 3 doses 4 hours apart after the jabs
My HV is the main child specialist at my local drs, she told me to give my bab some calpol before her appointment because the main "side effect" of the meningitis vaccine is a fever in little ones and it can cause them to get quite distressed idmf they get a fever 🤷🏻♀️ I think each NHS practice does it differently up & down the UK but hopefully your HV will tell you what they recommend 🤞🏼☺️
My HV today told me to give it after the injections
We took it with, and had a warm bottle prepped for right after
After is recommended, everything I read says not before. We did ours after today and she’s been fine x
following this as we’ve got ours upcoming!
