DC is a fun trip, but Have you thought about Canada instead?

I would say Hawaii instead of LA or NY, more chill. I went to NY with my 10 month old and there were many things I couldn’t do but wanted to, plus when out and about you gotta consider making stops to feed/change every couple of hours and making sure that they actually have a changing table as most places don’t which can be a bit tricky.

What time of the year?

@Haley 💚 either June, July or October 😂

@Raqi is Canada good for kids? No idea where to visit!

Depends what kind of stuff you are into. None of the above options tho tbh. Maybe the northeast?

Well lol… Chicago in the summer is nice. Beach and city, with lots of good food and site seeing. I got married in Savannah and it’s pretty. Beach is close by but it’s a not the prettiest beach. Still things to do but I wouldn’t spend 2 weeks there. NYC is always a vibe but I would probably split the trip and spend sometime in D.C. if you’re into American history lol. As an American if I was going to spend 2 weeks anywhere it would be Hawaii, Miami, Key West or Arizona.

Personally, having been to NY and LA I wouldn't want to bring my daughter to either that young. Savannah is much slower paced and child friendly imo, it's also very pretty. If you choose Savannah I'd go in October of those 3 months, it's very very hot there in mid summer. I've never been to Hawaii but heard it is nice too.

Northern Michigan! Beautiful place and lots to do that’s kid friendly! Beaches are beautiful. Traverse city to Mackinaw City. Even the Upper Peninsula has some good spots. Mackinac Island is a fun trip too!

With a 1 year old? I'd recommend more chill places, but I guess it depends on what you want to do and what interests you. I live in South Florida, and most beaches or parks are absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. North Carolina is also an amazing place - Outer Banks.

I hated LA. Really hated it. Loved NYC but not sure i would go with such a young kid, you would miss out on a lot

To answer your question about Canada. Calgary in July (specifically June 29- July 12). You have Canada day, the Stampede, Calgary Zoo and Canmore is not too far for a day trip if you like outdoorsy things.

Outside of LA, one of the beach cities

I love Savannah, but if I were visiting the US from another country, Savannah wouldn’t really be on my list lol.

Tampa/Orlando

one of the carolina’s, maine, upstate NY not NYC for a one year old, def not LA, maybe D.C or new england area (massachusetts/connecticut) boston is nice in MA

Then national parks in Utah in October (NOT in the summer months, too hot to be outside), outer banks NC, northern Michigan, New England. I would avoid eastern cities like NYC or DC in July, they are too hot and humid.

Definitely the national parks in Utah! Zion is amazing..but also agree not in June or July; October would be perfect!

Colorado is nice

Anywhere else but the US. Go to Canada.

@Hallie I live in GA & summer in Utah felt a lot less hot than summer in GA lol

@Katie I wasn’t trying to contrast them, I just meant the Utah national parks are dangerously hot in July and tourists don’t always realize that. Agree I much prefer the summer weather in Utah to the summer weather in DC where I grew up 🙂

Go to the PNW. Montana mountains and hiking, camping, skydiving, canoeing, horseback riding, shopping, etc is the most beautiful you'll ever see.

The travel time is brutal but Hawaii is amazing. I flew Heathrow to San Francisco which was around 11 hours, did 3 nights there then flew to Oahu which was around 6 hours, it was amazing, so many things to do and easy to navigate xx

If you go in June or July I would say not Savannah, it’s so hot. Especially July. Savannah would be the chillest place out of the list. NYC and LA are going to be more past pace, NYC being more so than LA probably. Savannah is suppose to be a cool place but I live in the south and it’s just so hot here in the summer.
