Newborn choking

Looking for reassurance that I’m not the only one, but has anyone experienced their newborn choking/hold their breath To a point where their lips go blue? My baby is 6 weeks old and it first happened when she was 1 week old during her feed. We went to A&E and the doctors said it’s normal and as they’re so small, they change colour quickly. It happened again a few days ago while burping, and although I knows it’s ‘normal’ it frightens me so much. She is formular fed, I pace feed, give her breaks and keep her upright, not sure if there is much more I can do. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi yes my little girl is 6 weeks old and was doing the same when feeding and being sick I took her to a&e and they put it down to reflux and give her stuff for it and she hasn’t done it since x

My little boy is 9 weeks and had been doing this since he was born. Turns out he has silent reflux and now on gaviscon and doesn’t do it anymore. It’s scary as sounded like he was gasping for breath x

@Beth my little girl is now doing the gasping more frequent and choked twice. How quickly did the gaviscon work? Do you add it to the bottles? What signs did you have it was silent reflux? X
