Id like to know also. My daughter is 6 months this week and has 2 teeth.
I spoke to my dentist about it when i was pregnant and she said no need until 3 years old, unless there are concerns
I took my son for the first time at 12 months as that's as early as I could get him in, he had 4 teeth then. He's due 6 monthly check ups from now same as me x
When I registered my little one my dentist made an appointment for her at 7 months X
I took my daughter at 12 months, they don’t do much they just count the teeth - but recommended bringing them every 6 months so they kept used to dentist and to build a good relationship with them. Even at 12 months my daughter didn’t open her mouth for them, I had to help 😂
I took mine at roughly 6 month, 12 months and just today at roughly 18 months, it’s a bit pointless really, today she just cried the dentist didn’t even look in her mouth just gave her a sticker! Maybe it’s good to get them familiar with the ‘dentist environment’ maybe next time we go she will be just excited to get a sticker!! I’m not sure, I’ll keep going every 6 months as think otherwise they can drop you as nhs patient but I wouldn’t really worry they are missing out if not!
I spoke to a dentist today and they said they recommend them going from the age of 2
