All I know is you have to come back for 3 months to not pay anything back Could you put together all your leave acquired and work a small amount of weeks to not pay back? I’m not sure what the payments are maybe look on RCN having a baby toolkit that’s quite helpful x

Yes you have pay back any omp if don't go back or If got 3m don't pay it back But the 3m can include annual leave so maybe return couple of days a week then use annual leave that you have got

Yes the ladies above are right I’m a Band 5 Staff Nurse and I also wanted to leave after my mat leave but HR said I’d have to pay it back if I did so I’m opting to do the 3m minimum my trust states and then leaving after! I have 1 week of AL (I’m only doing 2 shifts per week) so I’ll take one day of leave and one day of working and do that over 3m. Hope you sort it out! Its really hard and daunting having to go back to work in such a physically tiring job and then coming home to our babies but unfortunately the NHS don’t give a shit about us 🤣🥹

I would suggest returning for the minimum of 3 months in order not to pay anything back. See if you can use holiday for some of it too. This is what I did x
