Would you be offended if another child/parent gifted your child second hand toys for their birthday?

My daughter was invited to the party but we couldn’t go that day. I let her choose a toy from the second hand shop anyway to give to her friend. She chose three plastic horses, two lightly used but one of them looks more obviously in used condition. We are really struggling as a family at the moment, and now I’m wondering if I should feel embarrassed to gift these. My daughter is 3

I wouldn’t! I LOVE thrifting it’s a hobby I really enjoy. I do it both from a need pov but I also think that it’s fun. I would think it was cool that someone went out hunting for cool finds and found something for my bub. As long as it has been cleaned and isn’t broken or has missing pieces then it’s encouraged by me.

I would love it, personally I dislike the idea of kids getting all new things, especially all the plastic, just for it to eventually end up in landfill, recycle and reuse is the way to go as long as it's not junk

If it wasnt dirty or broken amd in good condition then i wouldnt have a problem with it money is so tight these days
