My daughter is on soya milk 2 times a day and 1-2 times a night as well as it’s a comfort and I’m trying to get rid of it x
@Emily she had a bad reaction to cows milk initially so our GP told us to revert back to formula then introduce it slowly
My daughter is on formula 150 mil x2 bottles a day. We are trying to transition her to cow’s milk. But there is no rush. Can do it when she naturally drops to one bottle a day and transition to cow’s milk or milk of your choice x
Speak to gp they may help with a dietician refferal, my 7 year old has a cow’s milk allergy and they shouldn’t have just sent you away to do it yourself, during the night offer water over formula, I’m assuming he or her eats soilds? If so they don’t need them calories through the night give water instead they will rather get comfort from sucking the bottle or be grumpy that it’s not milk but they first 3 days are the hardest after that it becomes much better they just adapt but honestly don’t stress all babies develop at different times they aren’t going to be 16 years old still having formula and night times bottles so it’s okay your doing great cxxx
Mine still has 2-3 but mostly 2 unless it’s a bad night of 9oz formula. It’s not recommended more than 500ml of cows milk a day from what I’ve been told so he has two cows one for nap and one for bed. And just slowly started getting into water/squash in the day. But his eating habits are great at the minute so formula is also for peace of mind
@Abbieleigh thank you. We'll try it again and then go back. Out of interest what symptoms did your little one have? And was it just cows milk they couldn't have ot other dairy?
@Emily she was born at 27 weeks and have NEC so she had a large portion of her bowls removed and a stomach so it was slightly different but she had vomiting, loose stools, blood and stringy mucsy stools and also a rash, she can’t have any dairy products at all to eat or drink, she can’t drink soya either she reacts to that too but is okay with soya in food…. We use oat milk and she’s perfectly fine with that xxx
Stoma not stomach
Since he's diet is all solids now, our son doesn't have as much milk. With his breakfast every morning (weetabix and banana) and maybe one every blue moon, in the afternoon. He has lots of yoghurt and cheese in his diet too.
Only 2 x 5oz for us now, morning and before bed. I was told you dont want more than 400ml of any milk at this age as it can interfere with their solid foods and iron absorption
Mines 14 months on 8oz at night. I would suggest starting to give more food and normal liquids like water if your lil one is over the age of 1. Every baby is different and you don’t have to switch to cows milk if you don’t want to, if you do though you shouldn’t go over the recommended amount of cows milk as it’s bad.
Doesn’t have any formula but has I’d say 300ml of cows milk over 3 bottles
Mines still on formula and usually has 4 sometimes 5 bottles 8oz x
You can switch to full fat cow's milk once they turn 1 years old, no need for formula any more. Maybe wean gradually onto it by mixing the two over a few weeks? I am actually giving a mix of cows and alpro growing up soya milk, two 5oz bottles a day, as I read that drinking too much cow's milk (over 15oz) could cause anaemia later in life? Being cautious just in case. He likes his milk from the bottle still.

My LO still has 3 x bottles a day (aptamil) we have been putting cows milk in his weetabix which has been fine but when we give him a full bottle of cows milk he has really bad bum explosions! X
My daughter has oat milk 6 oz in morning for nap and 8oz for bed at night. She’s got really bad eczema and oat milk keeps it at bay
We are on cows milk, 8oz in the morning and 8oz before bed. He still has most nights had 1 feed in the night and just for ease its a pre made formula bottle. At nursery he has 5oz milk in the day but from a sippy cup before his nap. HV said it's ok for now aslong as he is having a good diet just likes his milk and the first one likley to drop will be the morning bottle.
My girl doesn’t have any and she only had cows milk for a couple weeks but stopped that too because she was extremely constipated. Only has water now but if you do cut down I would add vitamins :)
My son is having around 20oz of cows milk a day (trying to wean him down) which is 600ml a day. One of them is a comfort bottle he has to help him nap (only 3 oz in that one), 10oz bedtime bottle and he wakes for a bottle at around 11pm and has 6-7oz
@Melissa which vitamins do you use?
@Emily not Mellissa😜 but we've been using Healthy Start from Nhs. You can get them from Superdrug
@Nicoleta how do you get them with healthy start? I have it and I know it's a thing but I don't know how it works haha
@Emily im going to be honest I’m a hypocrite because I haven’t been on top of her vitamins and she hasn’t been taking any 🥲 bad mum! But I believe the healthy start ones have everything you need if you have that? @Alex https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/other-health-services/healthy-start-vitamins/ If you go on that and put your postcode in it shows all the pharmacies that stock it. I’d assume you just show your card? But I’m not sure as I got mine from my health visitor
@Alex i added drops in the bottle. Our son was formula fed from day 1. He wouldn't latch Sorry for the late reply 🙈
My son has 3 6oz bottles of cows milk everyday xx
