How many oz does your baby have?

My baby’s is 9 weeks tomorrow and he’s currently taking 6oz and that’s roughly every 3/4 hours and sometimes he’ll occasionally go maybe 4/5 I’m a first time mam and I’m literally winging it xx

He’s on cow and gate and although he doesn’t fit into the bracket for his weight he just never seemed satisfied after giving him the amount based of of his weight I’m not really sure if I should be doing it the way I am but that is the way it’s working for us at the moment I will be asking my health visitor when I see her in 2 weeks x

I would say if she’s waking up more I would try and increase the bottle and see if she takes it and if not then go back to what you know but if she takes it maybe try it and see how she goes xx

Does she finish her bottles fully? If so I’d offer an oz more. Every baby is completely different so id take my babies lead over what’s written online or on a box 🙂

I will also say that some weeks where they have growth spurts they will want extra but then next week she could want less it’s definitely unpredictable and sometimes there can be a lot of waste unfortunately😅

@Siobhan she does for nearly all her bottles id say maybe one or two during the day she might leave a very tiny bit but shes mostly finishing them and yeah i just get so worried i may over feed her tbats one my biggest fears🫣 i dont mind about it being wasted as long as shes happy and content i’ll do whatever she needs thank you foe your response very helpful xxx

Up it to 5 and see how she goes with it. If she ends up spitting up loads then it’s too much for her. If she is finishing most 4oz bottles she is more than likely ready for some more x

My HV told me if they drain every bottle or near enough to up an Oz. Mine has just moved from 4 to 5 at 7 weeks old

Honestly I think it’s really hard to over feed like us they know when to stop when full. It’s all so much trial and error last week my LO was draining 5oz this week she’s been drinking mostly 3oz it can be so hard to judge sometimes but I do try offer more still because I’d rather a full baby xx

9 weeks on 5oz every 3/4 hours then goes longer in the night I was up a feed when they finish a bottle no problems over a time like a week

7 weeks and having 4/5Oz every 3/4 hrs, sometimes can go 5. Overnight we do longer stretches. I got Kendamil. As soon as he was finishing 3Oz bottles repeatedly I changed amount as I was finding he was still hungry xx

Mine is 10 weeks on Monday and has between 5-7oz each bottle (combi breast milk and Kendamil) I feel likes she’s such little pig 🐷 😂 xx

10 weeks on 6 ounces every 3/4 hours. I personally would up it x
