No maternity allowance is for if you do not get smp and your employed.

Unfortunately not. It’s very annoying. The only thing you can get is the child benefit money.. which let’s be honest isn’t a lot.

No. It's to help replace income you're missing out on by being off on maternity leave. If you've not been working then there's nothing to replace. How have you been supported in the last two years?
