Normal!
I also heard this was normal as well!
The lumps are usually undigested milk fats as they get used to using their system x
I'd talk to a doctor. Thats not normal stool in a newborn.
It can be normal, as someone else said it’s undigested proteins from the milk where the digestive system is still maturing. I will say though that for my daughter this went on for a very long time and it turned out she had a milk allergy. Not saying it to scare you but just to be aware, however if your baby has no other symptoms it’s likely just where they’re still so tiny and adjusting to the formula 😊
Greeny/yellow seedy looking stool normal in baby ( confirmed by Healthvistior ) x
I’d say that’s normal especially day 3 it takes a week or so before their poo turns “normal”. The colour is definitely normal for that age, the lumps are just undigested milk. Don’t worry at all, but for reassurance show your midwife on your day 5 app. Obviously if you get to week 2 and it’s still like that then baby may be having a hard time with dairy but don’t just swap the milks until you’ve spoken to a GP in that case x
Thanks everyone I can’t believe how much this app has helped put my mind at rest! I’ll defo double check with the midwives/ health visitors on their next visit but just knowing others have been here helps so much! 🥰
Glad you're at ease! Gut health is so important especially for new babies. Gut health affects brain health Normal stool looks like a yellow/brown mustard and is quite liquidity. Just because other babies have had poop like that doesn't mean normal. To me, normal means the standard, what you expect. I hope baby is okay and always trust your mama intuition 💗 if it doesn't feel right, advocate for your baby, no one else can. 🥰 I'd guess milk allergy. But hopefully not!
Don’t worry, it’s normal, although it looks weird! It will look a bit seedy and then transition to yellow mustard colour stools. Congratulations on your baby boy!
