She’ll just ask lots of questions about you and your health, take down any medical history you have, if you go with Dad, she’ll likely ask Dad to leave the room whilst she asks you “safety” questions. She should ask for a urine sample, check your blood pressure and weight & height. She’ll give information on any antenatal classes they may offer in your area, and suggest any vitamins you need to take (vitamin d is always mentioned). Give you your maternity folder, which you take to all appointments until Baby comes. Have you had your 12 week scan? Might include this, but where I am that’s a separate appointment x
@Laura thank you for this, to think we don’t get offered some of these before 12 weeks unless we feel like something is wrong! And I only have more appointments bc of my loss last time, it says “if it’s your first baby you’ll have this, this and this” kinda ain’t true lol what on earth, glad this time around things are different xxx
@Chloe thank youuuu! I’ve had several scans already, I’ll be 25 weeks on Tuesday so I’m assuming that’s what the appointment is linked to but yess I got given a folder which i do take with me every time but they don’t check it lol. I’m going with my mum as I’ve been staying with her due to my cervical stitch also with the Ramadan schedule hubby is always at work but after that he’ll be taking me so hopefully they don’t take it personally haha. But thanks for this I’m more mentally prepared now x
