Cow's milk alternative

Anyone else transitioning from formula/breastfeeding to a cow's milk alternative? What quantities are you giving and how often? What type of milk are you giving your child? Currently giving our daughter oat milk - soya gave her an upset tum!

I didn’t use cows milk for any of my kids. I use organic Coconut milk. Even down to my 1 year old she drinks it and I still put cereal in her bottle at night

Coconut milk is the best

Hey! Our little girl is BF and has BM in a bottle but when I went back to work last month we moved her to Alpro growing up Oat milk. It’s fortified with iodine, etc. apparently Oatly barista is also great as it’s fortified with all the right things too. We gave her 140-150ml in a bottle twice a day (but will start putting it in to a cup / reducing the quantity in the next couple of weeks).

We use oatly barista or whole. It was recommended by our nutritionist as a good alternative as fortified with calcium. She only has two cups of 120-150ml a day. And she also has a dairy free yoghurt with added calcium. They need around 350mg calcium daily. Oatly is 120mg/100ml. So 300ml a day or less if they are having other foods with calcium.
