My baby pees in the bath every single time

Wondering if this is normal and whether I should feel bad for not changing the water? I wash his face and hair first really quickly before he starts but he will, without fail, pee every time. The bath we have is quite heavy and is not practical for me to change the water during the bath without removing him and making baby cold. But my mum made me feel bad about it and now I’m starting to feel like I’m doing something wrong.

I have a collapsible bucket for this reason, and a frida bath jug, after he does pee, i have him covered with a warm wet muslin and then i use the clean water from the bucket to rinse him off

It’s the change in temperature to the body. Maybe try rinsing him off before you put him into the tub. That’s what I would do with my son. Now that he’s older I’ll let the water run on his feet, he’ll pee and then I fill the tub

This is absolutely normal ! Urine is sterile for a period of time

Ehh 🤷‍♀️ I think it's diluted enough in a whole tub of water.

I’d never think to worry about this. I probably worry about everything else though.

i mean, they sit in their wee when having a wet nappy… let’s say you change the nappy every 2 hours or whatnot, they could pee right away when you put it on and be in it for two hours, so i wouldn’t say it’s any different. my son has peed numerous times as soon as he’s been changed and i immediately recharge him because we’re already on the changing mat undressed etc , but i don’t inspect him every 15 mins to see if he has peed once he is dressed… i guess it is the same thing… once out the bath, dried off with a clean towel (could even have a bowl of warm water and cotton pads to wipe him down with after his bath while in his towel)i don’t think there’d be anything “left on him” anyway, and the important areas like face, hands and anywhere in the nappy region gets cleaned frequently through top and tailing anyway xxx

Once my sons could sit up on their own I just put them in the shower. The water is always clean. I feel like the tub water is always super dirty and not really cleaning them.

I don’t care about pee lol you swim at the public pool and you best believe people are peeing there hahah My son was a bath pooper!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME!! So from 8-9 months I started putting him on the potty before bath time. Makes potty training, at least the pooping part super easy haha 🤣

Be grateful he doesn't poop every time. My son loves to shart in the bath when I'm in there with him.
