Dentinox gave my little girl some relief for a while. We also done some.baby massages, bicycle legs etc to help. Gripe water can help but you shouldn't use it until they are over a month old
Thankyou, I will do the same. We’ve tried Infacol, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Is there anything a GP can do? And is there anything I can change in my diet for the breastfeeding? We’re also waiting for a tongue tie referral, so not sure if that is linked?
Check with your health visitor/ midwife but we were told we could use infacol to help our little boy (we mentioned he sometimes struggles to pass wind and were told we could use it. Must be given before a feed so it's in the stomach first) Can ve used from birth x
@Melissa they could ask you to try going dairy free to rule out a cows protein milk allergy. They didn't ask me to as I also lactose intolerant anyway so don't consume dairy. They can also prescribe baby gaviscon or omeprazole. But these can upset babies. My friends baby always threw up after taking gaviscon. It could be the tongue tie but I wouldn't have thought it would be a main contributor to colic but I'm no medical expert :) x
The tongue tie can make it worse for sure. My baby has this and it means they take in more air as they feed, try get the referral asap @Melissa
We tried Infacol and hips movement and they seem to be working. Just Google massage or hips movement for newborn winds and try some of them 😊
Hello! We also had this. Waited until 4 weeks and have been giving her gripe water - seems to be working!
