Relay delivery

Has anyone ever used this service? So I bought a gift for my partner (from our daughter) off Vinted. I collected the parcel the same day it arrived at the store. A week later I get an email saying I haven't collected my parcel and if I don't collect it it will be returned to the sender. I didn't do anything as I thought this could be a mistake and the seller said the same thing it could be a glitch. Now I got another email saying it's been returned to the sender. But like I have the item already so what are they sending back 😂😂
