Anti reflux formula

Hello first time mum here! My baby was suffering from silent reflux and we have just started him on SMA anti reflux following advice from the health visitor. Since starting him on this he is now going 4 sometimes 4 and a half hours between feeds, he’s 3 weeks old today. He is a very good baby and not much of a crier even with his reflux, is this normal for him to go so long between feeds? I’m assuming the formula is settling his symptoms and allowing him to go longer stretches? He has anywhere from 3-4 ounces 🙂

What were your baby’s symptoms? I think mine has silent reflux too! How old is he? I’m sure they start stretching their feeds out soon so it should be fine! As long as he keeps putting weight on ☺️

90-120ml every 4 hours is about 540-720ml in 24 hours - good amount of feed. As long as baby is waking himself, feeding well and having wet and dirty nappies he’s definitely having enough and seems more comfortable

He was usually okay during the day but the feeds heading into evening and night time he would become very restless, lots of grunting, squirming around flaring his arms, kicking his legs/drawing them up to his chest and arching his back. He would also pull a funny face and stick out his tongue like he had sucked on something sour and occasionally it looked as though he was bringing up abit of milk into his mouth but swallowing it back down. A lot of things that as a first time mum I assumed was “active sleep” so I had mum guilt when the health visitor mentioned otherwise 😣 he’s been on the anti reflux milk for 2 days now and was 3 weeks yesterday, he seems so much more settled! 😇

Anti-reflux milk is thicker so baby is probably feeling fuller, If you offer milk will they take it?
