I would suggest asking your midwife to refer you for physio! Mine has just referred me as I am dealing with bad sciatica and a bit of pgp in the hips (particularly at night) not sure how much it will help but I can only but hope as I struggle with a lot of stuff for my 2 year old, picking him up etc x
My back is bloody terrible if I've been stood up for a long time 😅
If you speak to your midwife they should be able to get you a physio referral x
I’ve been struggling with pelvic girdle pain and sciatica during pregnancy, and my advice is, don’t hesitate to seek help! While waiting for an NHS referral, I saw a private women’s health physio, and just 1 session, plus occasional pain relief, got me back on my feet. I still do targeted exercises, gentle yoga, and use hot water bottles for relief. Oh, and a pregnancy support belt has also been a game changer. Hang in there- it does get better! The rest of your pregnancy doesn’t have to be a struggle, x
I’m currently suffering with lower back pain and sciatica . It’s flared up again and I see my Osteopath when it plays up. I use a mixture of heat and ice packs too , always end on ice . Helps take the inflammation out. I’m due 14th June and been having back issues since NYE.
