My son is 5 and still uses his balance bike that he got for his 2nd or 3rd birthday .
I would go with a balance bike, son loves his ☺️
We bought a trike that converts to a balance bike/small bike and has pedals that can be stored on it when using it as a balance bike.. it should last him till he’s 4/5 maybe .. balance bikes are great but they may still need those stabilisers for a bit on a bigger bike but they should be quicker to learn to ride without x
Our daughter got one for her 1st birthday and loved it. But around April will buy her a proper bike x
Get it. My boy had a scooter and balance bike since 18m and we spent a lot of time at the skate parks but he LOVED IT. We still spend every weekend at least 1hr at the skate parks now and he’s 5, I invite my bestie coz she has a boy same age. Some of our skate parks are attached to a water park though so he gets wet, rides a lil dries off, and runs back and forth from both the whole time. The lean to steer scooters are great too, he liked having options but both were in the boot at all times.
My son loves his balance bike, i think hes had it since 2 years old. He's 4 soon and we'll be getting him a proper bike then

We have a cruisy balance bike - suitable at age 2, it’s so good my son absolutely loves it and will likely easily transition to a bike from there either no training wheels.

@Kellie sounds like you had a lot of fun. We have a skate park near us, might ask his grandparents to get him a scooter
