Family holiday luggage

We are going on a family holiday to Greece in June for 7 nights. It’s me, my husband, 6 year old & 18 month old. Our airline will allow us 3 x 15kg cabin suitcases and a changing bag for my toddler. My husband seems to think we can just pack light and that will be fine but I’m not so sure 🫣 Has anyone else done this? I’m inclined to add a big suitcase for the hold but it’ll be another £80/90. I think my husband is being a bit optimistic thinking we don’t need it! 😅

I pack extra in baby bag because they may have blow outs plus the food and drinks and stuff are different in another country so could upset babies tummy more until they adjust. It’s better to be prepared than not. Men don’t know what to pack for babies or toddlers usually and don’t realize they can stain their clothes easily and having extra clothes gives peace of mind. Just suggestion. Plus you don’t know when weather might change so you need warm and cold outfits

I personally would book a hold bag. You need to consider bulky items such as nappies/swim nappies. As well as liquids, which can’t go in the cabin (baby specific sun creams, toiletries). But that is just me - I am an over packer lol xx

We went away just me, my partner and little boy (who was 7months at the time) for a week last October and between hold luggage and hand luggage we took 80kg with us, plus a stroller, and even then it was a struggle to fit everything in so I personally would definitely add another bag 🫣😂

Okay thank you! Yeah I think it’s a safer option adding a hold bag, I’m an overpacker at the best of times let alone when it comes to my toddler. Husbands just going to have to accept it I think!! 🫣🤣
