Unsettled baby

My little boy has been really unsettled the last 24 hours after his bottle. He takes it fine first of all and then I go to burp him and he’s not getting burps up as easy as he was a couple of days ago. I’ve been using infacol too so I don’t know whether to up the dose of that. He also is coughing quite a bit when I feed him as if it’s catching his breath so I wonder if it’s a bit of reflux. He doesn’t throw up all that often either and when he does it just in his mouth and he kind of swallows it again. He’s not completely inconsolable, I can just tell he’s uncomfortable. He’s 5 weeks also. I know infacol can make sultans of reflux worse too as it’s acidic so I don’t know whether to stop using that for now? Any advice welcomed. I’ve been to the drs a couple of times also and it’s just the usual that most babies suffer with reflux. Again it’s not as bad as I’ve seen some mums explain but I can tell it’s making him uncomfortable

my little boy’s silent reflux was worsened by Infacol - so i started 1ml of gripe water 3 x a day for a few days & this seemed to really help his gas & didnt affect his reflux! my boy still spits up but sometimes i think it’s where he over feeds as he’s greedy on the boob 🤣

@quira I agree with the gripe water! My little boy loves to chug his bottles, causing his to swallow his burps and get soo many cases of the hiccups. Gripe water supposedly helps with gas as well, but we also do the bicycle kicks and tummy rubs to ensure all air is getting out. Hope you find what works best for him!!

How do you both administer the gripe water? Just becuase I haven’t got a 5ml syringe

When you purchase it, it comes with its own syringe :) and it’ll tell you how much baby gets depending on age

mine didnt! i brought a pipette

@Sarah i used either a pipette or 1ml syringe!

I could have written this myself! Same issues mines 2 weeks old x
