Bottle feeding

Was really hoping to BF my little one but after 2 days my nipples are beyond touchable and have found out he has a tongue tie which is why we have struggled to latch properly! Anyway I have decided to formula feed whilst I recover as even pumping is beyond agony….does anyone pre-make a couple of bottles keep them in the fridge and then warm once baby is ready? Is this safe to do or does each bottle need to be made fresh?

Do you want to continue breastfeeding? If so, I don’t think it’s too late. A lactation consultant can help sooooo much! A nipple shield may help with latch and nipple pain and the tongue tie can be released. Only if you want to continue, of course!

Would love to continue, just awaiting to be referred but I’m at the current stage where even my clothes touching are causing agonising pain so waiting for them to heal before we attempt again x

For the nipple pain/clothes situation I recommend silver shields, I found these the only way I could bear to wear clothes over my boobs in the early days!
