Newborn has a ton of hair!

When did y’all start doing your newborns hair? Baby girl has her 1 month photos today and I want to do a simple hairstyle but I’m not sure if it’s too soon.

I haven’t done any tension styles or more than headbands yet. But I’ll put some water and product in it to get the curls defined. But anything more probably come after 2ish. Their hair and heads or so sensitive I’d be worried about the hair pulling either from her yanking at the barrettes or the just the tension itself

I mean it’s a 1 month old, all I would do is probably brush it with some water

I didn’t start putting oil in my daughters hair till like 4-6 months and that’s just because she didn’t seem to have allergies and sensitivities

My daughter literally didn’t have hair until like 2

Bows until 5 months then I started to put it up but only if we were going out somewhere I wouldn’t do it everyday. It’s good to start doing it young because they get used to it and she sits so nicely when I do her hair and she’s 11 months now and her hairs half way down her back

If it’s a one off for a photo shoot I don’t see why not do a little hairstyle as long as it doesn’t pull the roots much but in general you just let it grow how it wants to and respond as needed (leave in conditioner if it’s dry etc) my little one was born with loads of hair but it all fell out when he was three months (it was back by around 9 months) so make the most of it in case that happens to your daughter 😂
