Baths & csection
Mums that have had a csection. When did were you allowed a bath?
At the moment I'm just having showers due to being reading online no bath till 6 weeks postpartum.
I'm currently 5 weeks postpartum today and have come down with a cold which has started aches and pains, the joys.
I'm just trying to figure out if a bath would affect healing or not...

I still haven’t taken a bath since before my c-section and I’m already a yr postpartum. I honestly would wait longer my biggest worry was getting up and down I was scared to strain my abdomen and like open up my wound or something
I had a bath after 6 weeks and everything was fine. I did not have any issues with my scar
I am 5.5 weeks pp. I took a bath last week at 5 weeks and I’m all good I needed one to get away from everyone and everything. Honestly I felt so much better after. But also my scar is completely closed. It looks very good and definitely healed.

I don’t see the issue if your scar appears to be completely closed and healing well. Maybe just not too hot and don’t stay in for long.
