Thank you so much! 💗I’m going to start with no fluids after a certain time to see what works for her. So glad she’s doing so good!
When we potty trained at 3 yrs old , my son naturally stopped wetting his pull-ups at night, too. I told our pediatrician at the time, and she said nighttime potty training is not usually successful until much older however we've only had about 3 accidents in the last year and they were when he was sick. I have a neice who is 7 yrs old, and she still wets the bed at night, so I guess it depends on the individual child (her parents have a lot of waterproof bed sheets) We didn't do anything specific to train for nighttime dryness. My son just naturally gets up to use the toilet in the night if he needs it. The son of my daycare provider is 8 yrs old and apparently he still wets the bed.
My son has been potty trained for about a year. We didn’t do pull ups so just undies at night. We stopped liquids around 6 and he typically goes to bed around 8. If he woke up in the middle of the night we would have him pee. We have several waterproof mattress pads. The first few months were rough and he peed the bed a few times a night most nights but he hasn’t had an accident at night in soooo long!
Some kids wet the bed and some don’t. When my son potty trained just after turning 3, I had him in pull-ups at night but he always woke up dry so I switched him to underwear. He’s had 5 or 6 nighttime accidents since then. I just keep a waterproof cover on his mattress. My niece wet the bed until she was like 6. Idk if there’s anything you can do other than restrict fluids after a certain time of night and have them potty immediately before bedtime. We have him potty before the bath and again like 30-40 mins later before bed
My tips on potty training is they'll let you know when they're ready I feel like if you force it it's only going to set them back that's what I have find out with my son and I'm still in the process of training him he just turned two.
Thanks you guys. I won’t stress her or myself out😂🤭 but we will ease into it all, it’ll happen thank you!
We’ve been doing it since Christmas. We don’t give fluids after 5pm unless it’s a sip and at 9pm we pop into her room and put her on the potty while she’s asleep and amazing she almost always does a tiny wee. Also, we explained to her she was a big girl so no more nappies and then took her to the shop to get some new knickers for her big girl sleeping. 3 accidents so far so be sure to get a waterproof mattress protector. And unless there is a problem like a uti I’d recommend no going back to nappies if you can help it. Good luck 🤞
