Formula and sickness

Hi everyone, my baby was exclusively bottle fed on hipp organic from birth, she’s never really been a sicky baby but since she’s turned 6 months and we’ve started weaning/ moved onto hipp 2 formula she’s started to be sick after feeds (not loads but a good mouthful/ two). She’s averages anywhere between 5-9oz a feed and eats anywhere between 4-6 spoons of food at lunch. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be? I didn’t know if there was something different in the hipp 2 formula vs the hipp 1? Do you think reverting back to hipp 1 might make a difference? Any advice/ ideas would be amazing as we are not to sure how we can prevent this sickness.

My baby was EBF but when we started weaning also started being sick just a little after each feed. I think it went on for nearly 2 weeks and now has stopped. I think it might just have been his oesophagus or stomach being a bit irritated by the food. Hopefully this is the same for you and will get better soon.

Hipp 2 didn’t agree with my little one, apparently it has increased iron in it and it made my little ones stomach very upset, I switched back to hipp 1 and this all went away!

@Marianne unfortunately it will have been 4 weeks on Tuesday, it doesn’t show any signs of stopping unfortunately. @Megan after returning to Hipp 1 did you give your little one anything else to match the increase iron and vitamin d that’s in the hipp 2 but isn’t in hipp 1?

I have always been told that first milk is fine until you transition to cows/alternative milk so id just swap back!

I just give the vitamin d supplement that you can buy in boots but not for iron, I just will make sure she eats lots of iron rich foods as weaning develops. I would switch back and see!
