@Elizabeth amazing! How long for? I've just had 8 full syringes with no drop left over . At first it looked like nothing then I collected via the syringes and I was so shocked!
Wasnt for very long tbf! Only had 3 syringes also so didn't want to go too hard on first go till get some more🙈

Can I ask how many weeks you were when you tried it? I'm currently 35+2 and told to do from around 37 weeks
Couldn't get on with hand expressing, was absolutely clueless back then. The hospital pump however got me loads, I think it was about 30 or 40ml altogether! The nurse was very surprised 🤣 This was after our son was born btw.
@Elizabeth , i never managed to do it with my first baby as I had her early so never got passed 37 weeks recommended time. I was unsure about doing it this time but, i thought why not just try, so I ordered some syringes for next day delivery last night.
@Laura Im 36+6(37 tomorrow) first time ive tried was tonight. I Do have my induction booked for tomorrow though so I guess the timing if fine for me as im going in tomorrow anyway x
I'm 38 weeks tomorrow🙈 got the syringes from midwive but ordered some more that are coming tomorrow also!
i’m 26 weeks and already leaking, i know it’s too early to try and express due to risk of bring on labour but it seems such a waste it just leaking into my bras 🫣🤣
@Hannah you can collect it if it’s leaking, they just say not to express that early. But 100% collect it x
@Mollie they are just tiny droplets few and far between but has increased. thank you for the advice x
Stupid question but …. Are you expressing and using the syringe right away to collect? Or expressing into something else to collect the colostrum?
@Claire I expressed into a sterilised bottle first, just as i thought it may be easier for me personally x
I’m 37+3 and I’ve tried 3 times now and I’m getting nothing. How long is everyone massaging/rubbing etc before they get anything?
