Feeding volume

My little one is a frequent feeder of small volumes, as in about 2oz every 1-3 hours, very hard to keep track of what she does actually have but rarely finishes 4oz. Currently side lying feeding as Ker health visitors advice which has helped, she's taking on a bit more than before and spitting up a lot less but can't get her to feed bigger quantities, anyone else got this?

Are you breastfeeding? If so this is entirely normal. Even formula feeding you should feed on demand and try to mimic the way baby would feed at the breast. Babies weren’t designed to take on large volumes of milk every 3-4 hours x

Formula fed, I just remember my lad took larger amounts in 1 go but that was 11 years ago so wondering if I'm remembering it wrong!x

@Amy I’d follow her lead. Every baby is so different some just like little and often! x

My little one is the exact same. She will rarely take 4oz and usually take 2/3 every 1-2 hours. My eldest (2.5) used to take at least a 6oz bottle every 3 hours or so at the age so this is really different. When I've mentioned it to HV and GP neither seem to bothered as she's been gaining weight steadily so we just stick to feeding her little and often if that's what she wants ☺️ x
