Exclusively Rear Facing car seat for a tall baby?

Any advice/recommendations based on experience on a rear facing car seat that will last for a tall 11 month old? (Or any i should avoid?) I’ve been looking at the axkid range and the besafe stretch, ideally wanting a car seat that will last baby until he’s 6 or so years old, rear facing and actually be comfortable. I’ve got a hyundai ix20, not the smallest car but also not super big so the more compact the better, however i’m aware that having a 90th centile height baby means i might have to make some sacrifices for his comfort. Not looking to spend an insane amount of money, likely capped at around £500 which i think sounds reasonable. Anyone got any recommendations or experiences?

Axkid movekid or minikid 4, minikid max or pro 100% xx

We’ve got an axkid one 2, we have a small car and a 91st and up centile babe. I’m really happy with it! Love that you can tip him back when he falls asleep whilst he’s seated. It feels mega secure. Easy to fit (isofix). Got ours for under £500.

I have a britax max safe pro for my 3 x

We have Besafe Stretch, it’s lovely quality and very comfy, he’s been in it for almost 2 years, he’s 2.5 now and taller than his 3.5 year old cousin. As much I love this seat it’s not the most compact, Axkid seats will be more compact. Maybe if you can find somewhere that can let you try them out in your car that would be useful

@Kiera would you say there is a big difference between the axkid minikid 3 and 4, if you’ve checked out both?

The 3 is discontinued now, it was overtaken by the 4. If your budget is still around £500 I’d go for the minikid 4 if you can, i would happily use either the movekid or minikid 4 though x

@Natalie do you mind if i ask what car you have? Just to compare the size to my own, pics make the axkid one 2 and 3 look bigger than the minikid 4 even though google says they’re the same size 😕 Does the bar by the legs come in the way?

@Kiera thank you!

Just to let you know, the Axkid one 2/3 is I only to 23kg so will not last as long as the Axkid movekid or minikid 4, it’ll only get you to around 4.5-5 years xx

Love our axkid! Would definitely recommend 🙂 I have seen the 4 on sale for £360 in places due to the newer 4 max model coming out too might be worth a look!

Of course, sorry! It’s a seat Ibiza!

There is no bar in the way of his legs 👍

Just hoping on this as also looking for something similar, is there something like the axkid that has a 360spin base? Thank you in advance!

I don’t think you’ll find a Swedish plus tested seat that spins. But I’m not an expert!

@Lauren pop a post on with babies details, budget, cars etc xx Be safe beyond 360 but it’s pricey and has low weight limits xx
