@Francesca glad it’s not just us! How do you give the medicine? I should have mentioned she’s EBF and refuses a bottle and only takes tiny sips of water from a cup 🙈
Mine was same we are now 7 month old. When we start weaning he didn't poop for 7 days - I end up going to gp , she wasn't bother much . If he didn't poop for 10-14 day then I should come back. If he is eating have wet nappies playing like usual nothing to worry . Funny bit is he poop same day . Was massive😂
She should be getting lots of water with every meal and as much as she wants. This should be from a sippy cup/open cup/cup with a free flow valve. It helps prevent constipation and teaching them to sip rather than suck. Remember that with weaning they have a heck of a lot of new things to process having only had milk so far in life. It does take a good couple of month for their digestive systems to get used to everything
@Lucy She has water with every meal but she’s not very interested in it most of the time and still learning to drink from a cup. Totally understand that it’s a process but also don’t want my baby girl in pain.
Same as @Francesca for us!
I mix it in water and use the syringe from the calpol box to squirt it into her mouth. Take a while but it’s the only way I can do it xx
We had to go to the GP in the end because the constipation was so bad. She was screaming in pain Everytime she needed to go 💩. I did everything you have mentioned above and it didn’t do a thing. The GP told us to give 1/2 - 1 sachet of paediatric movicol over 24hrs when it’s really bad. Takes a day or so to work, but it’s complete relief for her when it’s really bad x
