We use a flask of hot water and the nuby rapid cool with the hot shot method .
@Coadie unfortunately not as I use aldi mamia milk
@Kylie what about if I just bought a standard flask, filled it with hot water then take a bottle of cooled boiled water out with me and mixed the hot and cold water together then pop in the formular? So that it's at the right temp?
Yes that would work, my friend does that. Just make a bottle first with hot water, just so you remember how high up it goes, as the formula will displace it.
@Chloe well what I was thinking, when I actually need to feed the baby, he has 7oz bottles so was thinking of adding 4oz of the hot water then 3oz of the cool boiled water then adding the formula then it should be at the right temp, if it still feels a little hot I could always run it under a cold water tap
I think when you’re making it up that the powder should ideally initially mix with the hottest water, as this is what will kill any bacteria - it also helps with dissolving. Otherwise sounds fine! We use a Nuby rapid cool and just fill it up wherever we go, coffee shops etc are usually fine to help x
invest in a nuby cool flask, that way you’re only carrying around one flask with hot water and the nubby is empty so less weight to luggage around x
@Hanifa how do these work please?
when I make bottles, I do the hot shot method that’s why I use the nuby. I think if you want to do the hot shot method then feel free to google it as I don’t think I’ll explain very well😂. but you can use the nuby to make milk at room temperate, so you put in your formula scoops, put in your measured hot boiling water, then close the nuby and shake until the light turns green. once it’s green, it’s ready to feed your baby. it basically makes fluid at room temperature x
@Hanifa great thank you x
I literally take a flask of boiling water, the scooped powder in a clean bottle and that’s it. Make the bottle up and put it in the cupholder to cool about 20 mins before he’s due. No fuss, no need to carry much xx
Are you able to use the ready made ones?
