i heard some of them have fallen off the base when in a crash

Came here to say what @Jaylean said! I’ve read an article on this !

i’ve seen it was improper installing or attachment when they came off and it was like a couple of times

We have a rotating car seat in both cars, I find it really helpful

I love ours. Wish I would’ve had one on my first!

One of the brands got recalled. Can’t remember the brand but yeah they did. They don’t even sell them here in Australia I’ve never even heard of a rotating car seat until I joined peanut it’s not a thing here

Did really love ours but for higher percentile babies/toddlers they’re outgrown so quickly. We’ve had to stop using ours earlier than planned (someone hit our car so we had to replace it) and have gone for an erf one instead. Also there’s very few out there that are recommended safety wise so that’s limiting. But from about 6 months to 20 months it’s been so helpful, it’s what we upgraded our infant carrier to. Now she’s old enough and big enough to climb into her seat herself it doesn’t need to be a rotating one, and she looks so much comfier in her new seat and has so much more space. We’re not missing it as much as we thought we would.

I love mine! But you do have to make sure to lock it into place any time you drive, even if the baby isn't in the car. Leaving it rotated / unlocked is where the risk of it coming out of the base comes from!

Yes life savers!

As a CPST, theyre so convenient, and the instances that they fell off the base, was user error, so as long as you make sure to lock it properly youll be fine. I should have gotten one myself for my chunky baby 😅😭

I absolutely love it. It saved me up until I decided to go from a 3 door to a 5 door. I can't imagine life without one now, especially with a toddler who does not stay still while you strap him in 🤣
