Pelvic floor exercises and piles 😫

Help! I see a physio and am doing pelvic floor exercises. For releasing the muscles my physio said to do the same movement as if I'm pushing out a fart... Problem is I've strained when doing this and I've now got piles! 😫 How can I do the release without straining? I've watched some videos that say visualise a flower blooming/elevator going to the basement etc but it doesn't really help and I don't release enough. I can't seem to get it right. It's either not enough or too much. Any tips?

Try other methods…you know your body best. One exercise is not the answer to everything

And the movement if Im correct is kegals…is nothing like pushing out a fart lol you’re contracting the muscles in your vag. Not to sound inappropriate 🙈 but when you’re having sex & you squeeze & contract your muscles around your partners member…then its that same movement. Thats what I do lol.

@Tamia no, I have to do reverse kegels as I have hypertonic pelvic floor. So I have to release it, not squeeze it.

@Tamia I already do Pilates. These are specific pelvic floor release exercises I also have to do for hypertonic pelvic floor

Ahh feel you sorry lol but it kinda works the same. Just releasing from the squeeze & then pushing down from there. Hope it works out for ya xx

@Tamia yeah it's the pushing down I'm struggling with as that's resulting in me straining
