Silent reflux?

I think my little one has silent reflux. The symptoms he has are: - sounding snuffly and congested after drinking a little and then after finishing the bottle - coughs and splutters when feeding (his teat size is fine) - sometimes trouble being burped, whinges but doesn't cry - arches his back when trying to be burped - has on occasion brought up entire bottles (rarity though) - he's also become a little sicky, not too much, but not enough I'd say to be concerned about, maybe a normal amount for a newborn? He's just turned 4 weeks. I have been given some infacol, but haven't used it yet as he doesn't have colic so have been reluctant to use it. I'm tempted to change his formula, he's currently on mamia (aldi) - and recommendations or advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn’t use Infacol as this can make reflux way worse, I was in the same position as you and I’ve started adding half a scoop of carabel milk thickening to each feed and it’s been a complete game changer.

This is exactly the same as my little one who is 6 weeks. I went to see the GP and they said its likely reflux but mild and the medication/reflux formula can cause constipation, which she already struggles with so we just decided to ride it out. Im sure you’ve got all the do’s and donts online but the key things we do to help manage it are: upright feeding, laying flat but on incline when sleeping/put down, keeping upright for 30 mins after each feed, frequent breaks when feeding. Having trouble burping will eventually cause colic so its worth using infacol with every feed anyway as it can help. We’ve also used Colief drops which are good too if their colic gets bad xx

Thanks both @Beth @Sophie
