Use formula to prep porridge or add a scoop on his fruit or yogurt. You could also teach him to drink from a straw cup. We did that when weaning out of the bottle and baby keept drinking formula with a straw.
My boy totally went off his milk between 7-9 months. He is 10 months now and back drinking his formula as normal. Just keep offering 😊
I would cut back on solids, he could be eating too much and filling up on that.
My 10 month old adjusted 8 months was only drinking like 12 - 15 oz of formula the doctor said it was fine. Some baby’s just ween themselves. He loved eating. Just offer formula to him. But he wants to eat go for it. The only thing to watch is his weight. If his weight is low you’ll want to push formula cause it’s a lot more calories than foods.
Pediatricians call this a feast and famine stage. It can happen around any developmental leap. My oldest never cared for bottles and went straight to straw sippy cups around 6 months, my youngest clung to a bottle when she was tired.
I wish my child would take a bottle. She loves her water cups though
@Kathryn Howard I keep hoping it's a stage but he has been doing less and less over time
@Katherine I would agree but we always do formula first. He won't even finish his first morning bottle
I'm returning back to this post cause I figured out the issue. It was the formula. We switched to goats milk formula and he is in love with it. He drinks so much more milk now! He went from barely drinking any to drinking like a full 36 oz a day.
Yeah just keep doing what you’re doing. He’s probably just going through a regression. My son loved to not eat for a week or two. And then after that regression he ate like crazy. So maybe in a few days or weeks he’ll be eating a ton haha
