I stayed in there for ages, just don’t have the water too hot x

@Lish okay. This is helpful to know! Thanks

Towards the end of my pregnancy I took sooo many baths just made sure it wasn’t too hot.

Yes absolutely. As the comment above said, it’s just the temperature that’s the concern. I always made sure the bath was a little cooler than usual, and I kept the door or window open for more ventilation. As well as some water on hand for hydration. Enjoy your bath time ☺️

I used to have like 2 hour long hot baths throughout my pregnancy. I didn’t know that it wasn’t recommended until I was in the third trimester

@Donna Woods I was the opposite, and once I found out I could have them, there was no going back. It was bath time any time of the day for me 🤣

I still have hot baths, not majorly hot but I can’t stand a Luke warm bath😂

@Aggs I didn’t stop having long hot baths. I looked into why everyone says it’s not recommended and found that it’s because it can spike your blood pressure and dehydrate you. No actual direct medical reasoning so I just made sure I was safe. I miss my 2 hour long baths now I’ve got a 10 week old breastfed baby 🥺

I’ve been bathing just as I did pre pregnancy. I feel like some advice is over cautious

yes, i lived in the bath my whole last pregnancy because it helped with the back pain and muscle spasms

Lovely to know!!!! Just a warm bath and I couldn’t have felt better!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷😍

I did hot baths for laboring too lol it felt glorious

@Steffani wow! How did that work? Did you have a home birth?

@Jane Bernard no, but I stayed in the tub for early labor at home as much as I could and then when I decided to go to the hospital, I told them up front id like to labor in the tub. They made it clear their policy would not allow me to stay in for actual delivery but they did let me in the tub. In rooms with only showers they offered the portable labor pools too. I got lucky getting the real tub. They had monitors on me that they had a mobile version of so they had to recharge battery packs and then let me get in the tub. It helped so much with easing the pressure on my joints and stuff, allowing me to relax and focus on each contraction and get thru it. Outside of the tub my husband used counter pressure with every contraction to get me thru it til my body felt the need to push and that's how I survived labor with no meds lol

@Steffani OMG! Didn’t realize there was an option like this. Thank you so much for breaking it down.☺️ guess it’s time to start thinking about my birth plan too..
